In 2016 and 2017 were implemented 2 projects with the Institute for Budget and Socio-Economic Research. These projects were aimed at realization of "participatory local budgets" in 25 cities of Ukraine. This project was supported by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) (No. 2016/08 / 08-2 dated 08/08/2016 and # 2017/02/ 27-1BU dated February 27, 2017). Within these projects we helped local self-government bodies and NGOs to promote and implement the participatory budgets, conducted more than 40 training-programs and round tables on public involvement in the budget process and qualitative projects development. Promotional materials were prepared and distributed, and the capacity of local self-government bodies to introduce the "open budget process" and implement the participatory budgets were increased.
Within this project 29 one day training-programs “Involvement community in the budget process. How to prepare, submit and promote projects for the implementation of the participatory budget” in 25 cities of Ukraine (Lviv, Chernivtsi Khmelnitsky, Rivne, Zhytomyr, Zhovkva, Boyarka, Zhmerinka, Shepetivka, Volodymyr-Volynskiy, Nadvirna, Yavoriv, Chortkyv, Nizhyn, Khmilnyk, Lutsk, Uzhhorod, Slavutych, Brody, Berdychiv, Kalush, Chervonograd, Novoyavorivsk, Truskavets) were conducted.
